Update on the lone wolf

I personally think that dad and i should put me and amelia in the bathroom so we can work things out. at least we'd be within 100 miles of eachother. Sadly, my dream of becoming a beauty pageant winner has brutally come to an end. I got an email that says i wasn't a finalist for Mr. Heritage. its tough, but i'm trying to pull through. Sometimes, dreams are crushed, and you just need to suck it up you know? we won our volleyball game last night, it was fun. classes are fine, nothing exciting to report. I'm very excited for mom and dad to come up and buy me food. i haven't eaten anything but top ramen since they left. i weigh about 150 now. the weather is beautiful here right now. a tad on the cold side but beautiful. love you all!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!

An ode to Stanley Gordon Crippen on his day of birth:

His real name is Stanley, but to us it is Dad.
He's joyful and happy, contagiously glad.
He's worked hard all his life,(that's now 55 YEARS!)
To become who he is, and who he appears.

He's a man who is patient, brave, fun, and kind;
He can fix ANYTHING to which he puts his mind.
He works hard all day and serves others all night
To make sure that everything for everyone's all right.

He is selfless and giving, sensitive and sweet.
He treats Mom like a queen, sweeps her right off her feet!
He loves The Lord and trusts him with all,
And taught us to seek Him; He won't let us fall.

He is the best Papa to all 18 grandkids
And is strong enough to screw off ANY jar's lid.
He listens to problems, complaints, and successes
And counsels on ways to become our bestests.

He works wonders with glue and can tie different knots,
He knows just what to do when sprinkler pipes get caught.
He forgave the boy that "pruned" the willow that's weeping
And carried us to bed, even when we were fake sleeping!

Thank you Dad, for living your years to the max,
Now get in the hot tub, it's time to RELAX!

Happy Birthday Pops! I love you!

Message from a Peacemaker

It's okay, if you go back to the first post you'll see that the first thirty people get to win, so there is plenty of room still in the winners circle. I am just thrilled to see it going. I have been trying to post but something just seems to not be compatible when using my computer at home. Hopefully I'll figure it out soon. Well, Cameron and I are off to the dentist. He does really well there, except last time he was so numb he ended up unknowingly chewing on his tongue until it was swollen. Whoops.
Happy November!

I'm Telling!

Da-ad, Cody's being mean to me! Those are garbage words and you're not allowed to be mean on a FAMILY blog. And I do have a life . . . so hmmm!

Sunday, October 28, 2007

Well, I"m the first person with a life to post, so i really think i should win.... JUST KIDDING! love you! Its all good here in provo. I'm coming to the realization that i'm not really here for me, but like always, for other people. I'm a sunday school teacher in my ward, and its a blast. its an awesome ward. I spend my days in class, sleeping, sleeping in class, classing while i'm sleeping, being crazy, writing the occasional paper, and trying to carry on the family legacy by being super cool and dominating at volleyball. I love volleyball now, i wish i could've gotten into it sooner. Dang Title 9. Or i just could've been born a girl or something. Out of boredom I buzzed a Y in my chest hair, which is pretty gross. (Chris, maybe we could sit together at a game and match or something) I'm applying for Mr. Heritage, we'll see how that works out. thats all for now. over and out.

I WIN!

I'm the first to post! I'm the first to post! I can't wait for a shiny penny! Well, I don't know what to say, we are doing great and I am excited that more of you Crippen descendants are getting with the time. It's all about blogging! Just ask me...and Cathi Mobley! Well, I don't know what to do, should I post pictures on here? Maybe I will just refer you to my website since there is easy access on the side. And as you all begin your blog, you can have your names on the side too! DO IT! Edmonton is good, no more snow and that dusting that is on my site melted when the sun came up. Love it. Well, I REALLY miss you all and am super excited about the holiday season. I LOVE CHRISTMAS MUSIC! I don't know when it is legal to start decorating for Christmas up here being that we don't have Thanksgiving to mark it by. There are actually a few families in the ward that are true blue through and through Americans (at least the wives are-I'm seeing a pattern here! I hope I make it back!) that we are going to have Thanksgiving with. Then it is down to Cardston for a VERY quick trip, Friday night to sunday afternoon, to go to Justin's Alumni tournament. Plus, we get to see all of the fam from Utah. Well, that's the end of my post. I just have one assignment for you all...Get your passports. You never know when you will have to flee the country! We got Zach's US passport in 1 week! (and a quick morning trip to Calgary-2.5 hrs away!)

Calling all Crippens!

Welcome to our Crippen family blog- a happy place to place any public sentiments or announcements to one another. Feel free to fill it up . . . in fact, to kick off the Grand Opening of this blog I'm starting the Penny for your Thoughts campaign. The first 30 people to post something will be rewarded with a shiny (or dull, or green, or scratched) penny delivered personally by some person to the sidewalk outside your favorite neighborhood market. Goodluck!
